Résumé
- study the impact on the plasmon resonance of embedding gold nanorods (GNRs) and magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) in smectic liquid crystals (LCs) and in elastomeric polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS)
- synthesis and functionalisation of magnetic NPs
- study the influence of the magnetic field on the self-organization of the MNPs in hybrid systems (LCs and GNRs) and consequently on the plasmon resonance
- in the presence of arrays of smectic defects and GNRs create chains of nanorods with a highly anisotropic localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR)
- study the influence of the stretching of the polymeric matrix with gold nanorods on the GNRs LSPR
- GNRs will be provided by research groups from Germany and USA
